guys.
i finished college.
ok, so i haven't officially graduated yet but my homework is turned in and i don't have classes so, i'm pretty much done.
i've been reflecting quite a bit about my college career and walking down from old main today was actually a little sad! i've grown up so much at this school and knowing that there will never be another opportunity like this one, it kinda sucks.
college has obviously taught me a lot (hence why i got a degree) but there have been many more lessons i've learned that didn't come from a textbook or lecture.
1. some people are just straight up lazy
2. how to do things i don't want to do
3. be curious
4. i can run 8 flights of stairs in under 3 minutes
5. ask #allthequestions to know #allthethings
6. time management
7. tests don't measure intelligence
8. taking a nap on campus is actually good for your soul
9. power points are great
10. not everyone has the same standards as me
11. skim reading is a critical skill to have
12. my values and beliefs about ____ (insert most topics)
13. take breaks when you need them
14. late nights don't always produce the best work
15. budgets are important
16. mental health is important
17. don't procrastinate or precrastinate
18. be a life long learner.
i could add more to the list, but these are what came to mind immediately. as a college student i have learned valuable skills, concepts, and theories. will i remember them all?
nope.
but i will remember how to learn, how to critically think, and how to be a good person.
for now, i will continue working at as a digital marketer, doing mary kay, and starting a new plan (soon to be unveiled)
ultimately, i'm gonna focus on me for awhile.
thank you utah state.
and thank you God, for getting me through the last 15 + years of school.
